Review and Giveaway of Don't Compost It, Cook It!

The giveaway is now closed. Congratulations to Kym L. for winning a copy of April's Don't Compost It, Cook It!

Gather round folks, I'm having a giveaway of  April Lewis Patel's
Don't Compost It, Cook It

Here's why I wanted to share it with you:

1) It seriously is in line with the Blue Collar lifestyle. The "waste not, want not" philosophy.
2) She's a single mom, so you know that the book was going to be pretty budget friendly.
3) She still uses compost but, she utilizes every bit of her food product before it's compost!
4) Even if you want to buy the book outright, it still wasn't going to cost any of you an arm and a leg to buy!
5) Her recipes reminded me of how my grandmother used to do a few things. Which again, was utilizing every bit of your food when and where you could. Which in this world today, is a forgotten art. My grandmother would've approved of this book hands down!

Here's where you can buy it for yourself if you can't wait for the giveaway or don't win. Though I do know that The Morristribe and Homesteadin' In the Burbs are also featuring her book this week as well!

Here's how you enter:
Follow the instructions via Rafflecopter below: Pop over to her page, An Apple A Day Wisdom and check out her site, come back here and tell me something that caught your interest. A winner will be announced on Thursday (April 13th)!

  8. I like your useful info on the garden project. I saw the map on the back of the packs of seeds on the planting zones but the extra info you added on how you went back six weeks to figure out when to start the seeds indoors is useful. I never knew when to start them indoors. Also the thinning out info is useful too. Replant them instead of throwing them out into empty vitamin bottles, Styrofoam cups, used produce clamshells, and a host of other items.
